When the exact item name isn't known, allow keyword or tag-based search to still surface relevant results, especially useful for props and hard-to-name items.

Allow partial quantity check-ins for multi-quantity Check-outs
Currently, when an item with a quantity greater than one is checked out (e.g., 4 speakers), all units must be checked back in together.
Users would like the ability to check in part of the quantity without having to fully check in and then re-check out remaining items.
*Example use case
-4 speakers checked out for one month
-Only 3 are used
-User wants to return 1 speaker early without affecting the remaining 3*Current limitation
-Must check in all 4
-Then re-check out 3, creating unnecessary steps and potential confusion*Requested behavior
-Allow partial quantity returns from a single…1 voteWe are looking into this enhancement..

Reservation availability incorrectly blocks valid mid-timeline reservations
When an item has multiple reservations across a longer time span (e.g., several months), adding a new reservation that falls between existing reservations can incorrectly show the item as unavailable — even when quantity should be sufficient.
Users report that if they delete overlapping reservations and then rebuild them in chronological order, the system will allow the reservations, suggesting a quantity recalculation issue rather than true unavailability.
*Observed behavior
-Item appears unavailable when inserting a reservation between existing reservations
-System reports insufficient quantity when quantity should be available
-Rebuilding reservations in order resolves the issue temporarily*Expected behavior
-Availability should…0 votesWe are going to investigate this issue.

System becomes sluggish during batch item check-ins
Users report noticeable sluggishness when checking in multiple items at once, particularly during batch check-in workflows.
This includes delayed UI responses and longer processing times, making high-volume return workflows inefficient.
*Observed behavior
-Slow response times during batch check-in
-Lag increases with number of items processed
-More noticeable during active production periods
*Impact
-Slows down daily operations
-Increases frustration during returns and inventory resets
-Affects organizations managing large or frequent check-ins0 votes -
Separate “Check-Out” and “Check-In” Permissions
Summary:
Currently, StageStock ties the Check-Out and Check-In permissions together. Organizations have expressed a need to allow users to check items out while restricting who can check items back in. This separation would provide greater control, prevent accidental or inaccurate returns, and support workflows where only designated administrators complete the check-in process.
We are opening this enhancement request to gather feedback from the broader StageStock community.
Problem / Use Case:
Many organizations only want administrators (or a small subset of trusted staff) to complete the check-in process. Allowing general users to check items back in can lead to:

Print labels from Checked Out
We're going to add scanning capability to our inventory for the first time. We're doing it slowly as things are checked out/in. It would be great to be able to select all the items I'm checking in and then print labels for those items.

Text / SMS issues: We are looking at the possibility of changing or ending the text message feature.
Our TXT messaging provider has instituted new restrictions which we are currently working to solve for. For now, I would recommend you ask your users to install our mobile app to receive the same notifications usually received by TXT as push notifications in the app.
We are reviewing this service. We may close this feature, or need to add an additional charge for its use. We would like to get some feedback from our customers.
