Assign users to productions
You can put people on a production from the production's side (several people at once) or from a person's side (several productions at once). You'll need the Assign Users to Production permission, which Managers and Administrators usually have.
Add several users to one production
- Go to Administration > Production Administration.
- Click the cog on the production's row and choose Manage Users.
- Tick the people who should be on the production. Check All and the search box help on a long list.
- Click Save Changes. A Production Users Roles screen opens.
- Pick a role for each person. Leave Send notification to users ticked if you want them to hear about it.
- Click Save changes.
Add one user to several productions
- Go to Administration > User Administration.
- Click the cog on the person's row and choose Edit.
- Click Production Roles in the list on the left.
- Tick each production the person should be on, and choose their VirtualCallboard Role for it.
- To set their departments and groups for a production, click Manage Groups beside it.
- Click Save Changes. If you added or removed productions, a window lists the changes. Confirm there.
Heads up: taking someone off a production removes them from that production's history, including notes, calls and files. If they've just finished the show, deactivate them instead.
Departments and groups are covered in Add a group. What each role can do is in See what each user role can do.
