View an item's history

đź”´ StageStock

Every item has a History section that shows what has happened to it: who reserved, checked out and returned it, what was repaired, and when it was last edited. You'll need the permission to view item history (View item history and search check out history by user) for the item's category.

Find it

  1. Go to Inventory > Search and Check Out and open the item.
  2. Scroll to History. Each entry shows what happened, the date, and the production or reason. Click an entry to expand it.

What you'll see

  • Checked out and checked in: who had it, which production it was for, the expected return date, quantity and condition.
  • Reserved and canceled reservations: the reservation name, who it's for, and the dates it's needed.
  • Maintained/Repaired: who entered it, your notes, and the expense if one was recorded.
  • Removal and Restored, when an item is removed from stock or returned to it.
  • Created, and Updated for the last edit and who made it.
  • Bulk edits, with one line for each field that changed.

Every entry shows who did it and any notes they added. If you also have Manage Item History (Add / Delete), you can add and delete entries.

When you edit a single item, History shows only the most recent change (Updated), not a line for every edit. The History section also appears in the StageStock app.
