What is a department?

A department is a group of users in a production who share a part in the show: Cast, Designers, Directors, Stage Managers.

Departments are one of the kinds of group you can pick from when you call people to a call, send a note, start a discussion or share a file, so one click reaches the whole department. They belong to a single production, so the same person can be in Cast on one show and Crew on the next.

To create or change departments, see Add a group.
