Give outside renters or clients limited access

To let an outside renter or client browse and reserve your inventory without giving them the run of the site, make a custom StageStock role that only allows viewing and reserving, then give it to them.

  1. Go to Administration > Site Administration > User Roles and create a custom StageStock role. See Create a custom user role for the steps.
  2. Turn on Add Items to the Reservation and leave the edit, delete and check-out permissions off. Everyone with a role can already see the items in a category.
  3. Add them as a user, then open their profile, go to Category Roles and pick the role for each category they should see.

They'll also need a site role that includes Create/Edit a Reservation so they can start a reservation in the first place.
