Add a user

Create a user's account, send them a welcome email, and put them on their productions in one short run through User Administration. You'll need the Add User permission (the Administrative - Common Manager and Administrator roles usually have it).

Create the user

  1. Go to Administration > User Administration.
  2. Click Add User.
  3. Enter their First Name, Last Name and Email Address.
  4. Choose Automatically generate username, or Specify username to pick your own.
  5. Edit the Welcome Message if you like. The site link and sign-in details are added for you.
  6. Choose Send Random Password, or I will specify a password to set one yourself.
  7. Click Next.

Assign them to productions

The window then lists your productions. Check each production the person belongs to and click Add User. A production is grayed out if you can't assign people to it: you'll need Assign Users to Production on it, or Add/Edit Productions and Assign Users. (How user roles and permissions work shows which roles usually have them.)

Then choose a role for the person on each production, and on each StageStock category if your site uses StageStock, and click Save. The role decides what they can see and do there.

Finish up

When it's done, click Go To (name) Profile to fill in more details, Add Another User to keep going, or Close.

There's no limit on how many users your site can have. For a whole cast list, Add several users at once from a spreadsheet is faster.
