How to Create a Custom Permission Role
-
Navigate to:
Administration Tab → Site Administration → Manage Permission Roles -
Click Add Role.
-
Select the Permission Type for the new role:
-
Administrative — Common Permissions

-
Administrative — StageStock
-
-
Enter a Role Name.
Sites often choose job-based titles (e.g., Costume Shop Lead, SM Team, Designer Access, Student Admin). -
Select the permissions this role should include.
-
Common permissions appear in both VirtualCallboard and StageStock permission charts.
-
Use the charts to understand what each permission controls.
-
-
Click Save to create the role.
Important Notes
-
New roles do not apply automatically — they must be assigned to users individually.
-
Review custom roles annually or per production cycle to ensure they still match your workflow.
-
Some permissions unlock administrative tools; testing with a non-critical account is recommended.
