Start a discussion

Start a discussion to talk something through with part of your company in one place, with replies kept together. You'll need the Add / Edit / Delete My Own Posts/Replies or Add / Edit / Delete Anyone's Posts/Replies permission. With Participate/Respond Only you can reply, but not start one.

1. Go to Discussion and click New Post.
2. Choose the Production and enter a Subject.
3. Write your message in Post. The formatting toolbar adds styles and links.
4. Under Select Users, pick people on the Users tab, or whole groups on the group tabs.
5. To share files, choose existing ones under Attach Files, or click Upload File to upload a new one.
6. Tick Send notification to users (email, app and TXT) if you want them told right away. The form shows how many people will be reached and how. Your site can set this box to start ticked.
7. Click New Post.

Participants reply with Post Reply. A reply notifies everyone in the discussion except the person who wrote it, when its own Send notification to users (email, app and TXT) box is ticked.

To change who's in the discussion later, open it, click the people count under its title, then Add or remove people. You can do this for discussions you started, or for any discussion you're in with the Add / Edit / Delete Anyone's Posts/Replies permission.
