Add, edit and delete folders in File Sharing

Folders keep your shared files tidy. You'll need the Manage folders permission, which managers and administrators usually have.

  1. Go to File Sharing and click Upload File.
  2. Click the gear beside Save in Folder. The Manage Folders window opens.
  3. To make a top-level folder, click Add Folder, enter a Folder Name, choose its Production, and save.
  4. To make a folder inside a top-level folder, click Add Subfolder on that folder's row, name it, and save. A subfolder of a production's folder belongs to that production; a subfolder of an All Productions folder gets its own Production choice. Subfolders can't have subfolders of their own.
  5. To rename a folder, or change a top-level folder's production, click the pencil on its row.
  6. To delete a folder, click the red X on its row. Choose Delete all files in it, or Move all files to another folder, then click Delete Folder.
  7. Click Close when you're done.

Deleting a folder removes it for everyone who could see it. If it still has files you want, choose Move all files.
