Why can't I edit, or why is my schedule empty? Understanding roles

Your role decides what you can see and change. VirtualCallboard and StageStock each have four built-in roles, from least to most access: Viewer, Contributor, Manager and Administrator. Your site can also have custom roles.

A few signs it's your role:

• You can see items but can't edit them. You probably have the Viewer role for that category. Viewers can look, not change.
• Your schedule is empty. You may have been added to a production without a role. A production needs one assigned before you can see anything in it.

In both cases, ask a Manager or Administrator on your site to check your role. They'll find it under User Administration: open your name and look at Production Roles (VirtualCallboard) or Category Roles (StageStock). To see exactly what each role allows, see User Roles & Permissions.
