How Production History Appears in Search Results
Purpose
To clarify what production information is visible in search pages and how “Advanced Search → Production” works.
Where Production Information Appears
StageStock tracks current production use from historical production use.
1. Advanced Search → Production
This filter shows items that:
-
Are currently checked out to a production, OR
-
Have been checked out and checked back in (recent activity)
This field does not display complete historical production records.
2. Item Search & Checkout Page
The main search table does not show production history.
Even if an item was used in a previous show, the production titles do not appear in this page’s table. (There could be various productions associated with a single item.)
3. Items Checked Out Page
This page shows:
-
All items currently checked out
-
The production each item is assigned to can be viewed by displaying the "Checked out for" column.
-
Quantities, due dates, and other checkout details
This page displays current checkouts. Past due items appear with red text.
4. Item Detail Page
This is where full historical production data appears, including:
-
Past checkouts
-
Past returns
-
Timestamps for last edit activity
This is the only page that displays the complete production history of a single item. This is visible only to users with the "View Item History" permission.
Notes
-
Many organisations supplement this with tagging conventions, such as:
show: Alice in Wonderland
