Give someone site-wide Administrative access
To edit users, spaces and other site-wide settings, a person needs an Administrative - Common role. It's separate from the roles they hold on productions and inventory categories, and it works on top of them.
Give someone an Administrative - Common role
You'll need the Assign Administrative Roles to Users permission, which the Administrative - Common Administrator role usually has.
- Go to Administration > User Administration, click the cog on the person's row and choose Edit.
- Click Administrative Roles in the list on the left.
- Tick the Common row, then choose Administrator, Manager, or a custom role you've created.
- Click Save Changes.
The Manager role usually can add users and manage spaces. Administrator usually can do everything in the Common area, including billing and site settings.
For the full list of what each role can do, and how production and category roles are assigned, see How user roles and permissions work.
