Add a VirtualCallboard production

Add a VirtualCallboard production from Production Administration, then pick who's on it and what each person can do. You'll need the Add/Edit Productions and Assign Users permission in Administrative - VirtualCallboard, which administrators usually have.

  1. Go to Administration > Production Administration.
  2. Click Add Production.
  3. Enter the Production Name and a Production Abbreviation, usually 2 to 5 letters. The abbreviation appears throughout the site and in emails, so choose one people will recognize.
  4. Make sure Enable In VCB is checked. That's VirtualCallboard. Leave Enable In StageStock unchecked if this production is only for VirtualCallboard.
  5. Under Assigned Users, check the people who belong on the production. You can add more later.
  6. Under Receives Messages to Management, check the people who should get messages sent to the production's managers. You can change this later too.
  7. Click Add Production. If you assigned users, the Production Users Roles screen opens next.
  8. Choose a role for each person. Send notification to users is checked by default and tells them they've been added; uncheck it to add people quietly.
  9. Click Save changes.

If Enable In VCB can't be checked, your site already has as many active VirtualCallboard productions as its plan allows. Archive a production or change your plan first.

When you're setting up a brand-new site, add productions before you add users. It saves a step.
