Add a StageStock user
Add a person to your site and give them a StageStock role in one pass: you create the account, then choose which categories they can work in. There's no limit on the number of users on your site.
Who can do this: you'll need the Add User permission, which is part of the Administrative - Common roles; administrators usually have it. A StageStock role on a category, even Administrator, can't create accounts. To choose their category roles in the same pass, you also need Assign Users to Category for those categories, or Add/Edit Productions and Assign Users in an Administrative - StageStock role.
Create the user
- Go to Administration > User Administration.
- Click Add User.
- Enter their First Name, Last Name and Email Address.
- Under Username, choose Automatically generate username or Specify username.
- Read the Welcome Message and change it if you like. It already says which site they're joining, and the sign-in steps and their temporary credentials are added to the email for you.
- Under Password, choose Send Random Password or I will specify a password.
- Click Next. This creates the account and sends the welcome email.
Choose their categories
If your site also uses VirtualCallboard, the next screen asks which productions to add them to. Make your choices, then click Add User to continue.
- Under StageStock Category Roles, pick a role for each category this person should work in. Leave a category on None if they shouldn't see it. How user roles and permissions work shows what each role can do.
- Click Save.
The window then offers a button to their profile, plus Add Another User and Close. You can change their roles later from their profile, under Category Roles.
