What the StageStock QR code does
đź”´ StageStock
Scanning an item's StageStock QR code opens that item's page in StageStock. StageStock makes the code for you: every item in a category whose Barcode Type is QR Code shows one on its page, and every label you print carries one.
You'll need to be signed in, so anyone who isn't is asked to sign in first. You then see the item only if your role in its category includes View Items. Without it, StageStock answers as if the item doesn't exist: you land on Search and Check Out with "That item no longer exists. It may have been deleted."
A category's Barcode Type is either QR Code or 1D Barcode (Code 39). A Code 39 barcode carries the item's ID instead of a link, so it's read with the StageStock app or a USB scanner rather than a phone's camera. Printed labels always carry the QR code, whichever type the category uses.
Next steps: Print labels for your items and Scan a QR code or barcode to find an item.
